ABOUT US

Those who have shot here in the past will have mighty memories and stories to tell of stratospheric pheasants. In addition, this season for the first time, will include partridges. We will be offering 250+ bird days from the beginning of September until the close of play in late January 2021.

Whilst the Clough Williams Ellis designed main house and estate are now under new private ownership, so too is the management of the shoot under the experienced eye of Martin Lott, with more than 5,000 sporting acres at his disposal.

Whether you are coming from near or far, for a single or double day, you will be met with every possible refinement at Llechweddygarth. Visiting dogs are welcome and, aside from the challenging shooting, the overwhelming scenery, untamed mountains and breathtaking waterfalls offer a picturesque backdrop to enjoy whilst testing yourself on the peg. Below the main mansion house is the ancient 7th century church

of St Melangell, on the Church Drive, and Gun’s guests might like to take a moment to look inside one of the Principality’s oldest and most remote churches.

Martin Lott

DIRECTOR

Martin grew up in the rural landscape of Herefordshire where he spent much of his time on his Grandma’s farm rearing sheep, pigs and chickens. That is where he developed a love for farming, a respect for the welfare of animals and a passion for the preservation of the countryside.

In 2017, Martin decided to swap the hustle and bustle of London for a life of tweed and wellingtons in North Wales.

Having recently featured in Dave Carrie’s ‘Best Shoots in Britain’ Series Martin is rightfully proud of what the Lott estate management team have achieved at the now world famous Llechweddygarth in Powys.

Martin says that he doesn’t do it all himself and that he is lucky to have the support of a loving family, a team of committed game keepers and knowledgable farm hands. He also acknowledges the tremendous support he’s been afforded by the landlord, local residents and their businesses who largely recognise the wealth his efforts generate in the community.

You can catch Martin chatting to Dave Carrie on the brilliant 'Pulling Monsters From The Clouds, video on youtube see below link. You can contact him, using the below phone and email links.
